I’m a Witch, a Priestess, and a writer living in the Pacific Northwest for more than a decade. A measure of my success might be that I am also stable (in all senses of the word) and own my own house and have a mundane job that I love.

I am the author of The Virtual Pagan (Red Wheel/Weiser, 2002) and CyberCoven.Org (self-published ebook, 2004) as well as Magickal Connections: Creating a Healthy and Lasting Spiritual Group (New Page, 2007). I have contributed to the Magic on the Edge anthology (Immanion Press, 2006), the Pop Culture Grimoire (anthology, Immanion Press, 2008) and several Llewellyn annuals.

I am the owner/editor of Facing North: A Community Resource, my webspace for hundreds of reviews of books and items of interest to the Pagan/New Age/Spiritual community.  I coordinated the Review Circle for The Beltane Papers for seven years. Over the years I have contributed articles to several magazines, including SageWoman, PanGaia, newWitch, and The Blessed Bee. My work can be found online at BeliefNet, PaganNews, and London Bytes (the journal of the University of Western Ontario)

For many years I spoke at a number of pagan gatherings around the country, including PantheaCon (San Jose, CA), Convocation (Detroit, MI) and Ecumenicon (Baltimore, MD). My practical perspective on spiritual matters is enjoyed by all and I welcome the chance to get out and meet others in my community.

In late 2009 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, the first woman in four generations of my family to be afflicted,  and began the most unpredictable Universal Lesson my life has manifested for me. In early 2010 I went through a 12 week course chemotherapy to lessen the odds of breast cancer returning. My blog charts my progress with cancer and chemotherapy (tagged) and is open to all readers. It took several years to recover from the effects of chemo, and there are ongoing issues that are still years away from resolution. Life is and I’m still learning. In the meantime, I'm enjoying being healthier than I have been since my 20s. I swim, do muay thai, Pilates, and water aerobics 4 or 5 times a week. My dog has me out for a walk every day. Life is, and life is good.

I have another four decades ahead of me, or more, and I intend to keep living it as fully as I can manifest.
